Hi All,

Is it possible to have more than one root menu Item?

I would like to have a menu like this.....(when topMenu1 is selected,ignoring the ....)

Home | TopMenu 1 | TopMenu 2 | TopMenu x
.................SubMenu 1
.................SubMenu 2
.................SubMenu 3

I have the SQL Provider working to provide the data, but can't get the topmenu1,2,X to be on the same level as Home (which is the root)?

Take a look at this post

If you use the SiteMapDataSource you can ignore the root node to be rendered by setting the ShowStartingNode property to false. If you do so, the node under the top node will be displayed, you can also use the StartingNodeOffset and StartingNodeUrl to specify from which nodes you should display.

Thanks Fredrik,

I've set ShowStartingNode to false and it worked, that is the home page menu item has disappeared.

The problem is that the menu has switched to a vertical menu and I can see where to change this. Also I've now lost the home page menu item?

You can use the Orientation property to change it to horizontal.

You can add the Home item as a child element to your root node.

Thanks again...

I just noticed that if you change anything on the SiteMapDataSource, it resets the orientation back to Vertical....

Also If I set the StaticDisplayLevel to 2 then it also adds the root and second level menu items together. Just what I wanted
