hi i want to do css rollover buttons with 2-image swapping method and implement it in the Theme kinda setting. Meaning i can't reference directly to the image as i would have a 2 similar filename but in different theme. how can i do dat?

so, say i have a the SUBMIT button control that would use "submitBtn.gif" and a "submitBtnHover.gif" for the rollover effect. and this control would be used often across a number of pages. i want to make it a way that the developer can easily implement the css rollover button without writing too much code.

Let's say you have 2 themes

  1. Pink_Theme
  2. Orange_Theme

Now, in the Pink_Theme folder you have

  1. Pink_submitBtn.gif
  2. Pink_submitBtnHover.gif
  3. Pink_Theme.css
And, in the Orange_Theme folder:
  1. Orange_submitBtn.gif
  2. Orange_submitBtnHover.gif
  3. Orange_Theme.css

 

In the Pink_Theme.css you should set the css classes to handle the rollover effect by pointing to the images from the Pink theme folder.
the same for the Orange_Theme.css only that in this stylesheet you'll point to the Orange_SubmitBtn.gif.

Now, if the Pink theme is used, then the Pink images for the rollover are loaded. The same goes for the Orange_Theme.
