how to resize widith and hight of content placeholder

i have created the masterpage and place the contenct placeholder but i wants increase the width and height of content placeholder.

you cannot directly assign width to Content placeholder, use javascript instead.

Content place holder when rendered to HTML becomes <DIV>

try this code

Page.RegisterStartupScript("setContentSize","<script language=javascript>document.getElementById('" + cphName.ClientID + "').style.width=500; </script>");

Or if using AJAX

ScriptManager.RegisterStartupScript(this, typeof(string), "setContentSize", "document.getElementById('" + cphName.ClientID + "').style.width=500;", true);

You also can use a div control to wrap the contentplaceholder, you can try to set the div's hight change the contentplaceholder's height.

For example:

<div style="height:500px">
<asp:contentplaceholder id="ContentPlaceHolder1" runat="server">
Content pages.</asp:contentplaceholder></div>
