Has anyone got this error when requesting a password to be sent? What do I need to be looking for to keep this from happening?

GCN doesn't support mail servers that require authentication (yet). This is a drawback to using the System.Web.Mail components in the .NET framwork, which doesn't have support with mail server authentication.

You have two options.

1) use a mail server that doesn't require authentication, or configure your mail server so that it allows connections from your web server without authentication (most mail systems have this option).

2) Use a 3rd party mail component that does support authentication (there are several out there, most are cheap).
