"New Articles" Web Box scoped to a section5/23/2004 12:26:33 AM

0/0

Newbie alert.

First I'll say that this CSK/GCN is awesome! In a single night I installed it and ported my son's elementary school web site's static pages as HTML sections, and set up every other kind of section. Very impressive. The only code I've changed so far was to add the ItemCreateDate to WebBox listings, so I'm definately a newbie at this point.

What I'd really like to have is the ability to scope a webbox (like "New Articles", for instance) to a particular section. My site has a Teachers area, and several areas for each grade level at the school. I'd like the Teachers sections to have webboxes that display New Articles that were submitted in that section and it's child sections, but not show those posted in, say, the Middle School section.

I'm still learning the framework's codebase, so I was hoping maybe someone could give me some hints about how to do this. Custom WebBox type maybe? Maybe this had been done before?

Thanks
Joe
