Stay away from WEB.COM for your hosting solutions.  When I asked them about AJAX in Febuary it was clear they hadn't even heard of it.  On March 7, they tell me that they are now testing it in development.  Now they tell me it is not supported.  

 I need ideas, ammunition, rants, etc. from you guys to take back to them to get those frickin' jerk offs to install it. 

Also, here's another idea.  If everyone that reads this post contacts them saying they have a ASP.Net web site they would like hosted there, but they need AJAX support and were wondering if they had AJAX support in order to host it there.  If they saw this series of questions, they'd surely think twice about adding it.

The best way to try to convince them is to state that Microsoft fully supports it. If they're a decent web hosting company, I never heard of them, they'll look into it. If not I suggest that you just move to another web hosting company that does support ASP.NET AJAX extensions.

I don't like that idea. Everyone's free to go where they want and it's not up to you to cry out for a DOS attack on their mailservers by trying to get as much attention to your problem. Just ask their helpdesk politely why they don't want to install it. If they don't reply you know the service is bad and you should better leave them and go to another hosting company.

Thanks, Kris, yeah scrap the second idea about contacting them everyone. 

 I originally asked them nicely if they would install in Febuary and on 3/7 they finally told me they were testing AJAX on a development server and would soon move it. I stuck with them because of the work involved to move it with the size of our database, amount of web files, etc.  But I may end up having to do this.   Still I'm interested on everyones take.  It seems most other Windows hosts advertise they support this now.

Well, I was lucky. I host my sites with http://www.hostingatoz.com and they already have AJAX Support :)
