We are especially seeking a company that does daily backups and has no down -time and that has a proven track record for hosting sites and most importantly provides the service that they advertise.

My first DNN site I had hosted with www.gate.com. I chose them because they had DNN 4.0 already installed. They were ok, support was ok, and they were pretty cheap. But I recently switched to www.powerdnn.com.  In my opinion they have numerous benefits for DNN - they are a DNN Platinum Benefactor, they actively participate in the DNN community, their data center is the same one used by one of the top five largest web site's (I'll let them tell that one) therefore their resources are huge, their main office is blocks away from their servers (rather than across the country), top end servers (quad dual-core processors), Plesk control panel and getting ready to upgrade to one even better apparently, they are not the cheapest but if you compare their limits on their low end package of $20 per month it is a serious deal.

I'm not connected to them or even friends with them as I have only been with them for a month but the main reason I chose them was the support. Being a total greenpea to DNN/html/etc. this was the selling point for me. I got my clue to how good their support was by reading the forums at www.dotnetnuke.com and watching how many questions these people answered.

I know it sounds like I'm a fanatic but I guess I do have a sort of a vested interest - I want them to get more than enough business to ensure I can continue to use them!

We have 3 sites at WebSecureStores and we are going to pull all 3 in the next month because of WSS's refusal to support .flv files on their shared servers. I hope that all of you WebSecureStores supportors contact them immediately and let them know there is some demand for this service. A .flv file contains video that is played via a .swf, better know as Flash or the shockwave/Flash player. Think CNN, Google video, You Tube, etc.

We also have issues with converting from shared accounts to the bulk / reseller hosting plans. WSS is requesting $30 for each existing domain to associate it with a reseller account.

I've had one other issue when upgrading from DNN V2.x to V3.x. They told me it couldn't be done but gave me a test account to work through. Then the hardware failed on the main account and I had the test account with the data in it.

www.CrystalTech.com offers outstanding service.  It can't be beat.  I've tried cheaper  hosting more than once and have always come back to CT.

24/7 phone support that you don't have to wait for, comprehensive forums filled will folks who are raving about CT, not ranting like most other places.

AutoInstall of DNN, you can pick from 3 or 4 versions.  Their policy is to offer new versions 2 weeks after a Final Release just to make sure there are no consequential issues.

SmarterStats, SmarterMail, SmarterTicket.  Impressive control panel.

Wish they would offer Reporting Services on shared accounts is my only dissapointment.
