Good morning to everybody,
i'm trying to install dotnek nuke 3.1 and at the begininng of the installation process i've this error:
i've this configuration:

I really don't know much about this machine code, but I think it gets it from machine.config somewhere in the system's directory.

I believe dnn / membership provider uses this machine code to encrypt/decrypt passwords and such. I'm not sure it is all that important that it is exactly something from the system as long as you use the same one when upgrading. If the key is invalid in your current machine.config, I would speculate you could snag another code from another machine/server and hopefully it (or maybe one you make up) would work just fine.

I however may be wrong. I assume this is a test/dev environment. :)

the problem is that you're trying to run dotnetnuke on asp.net 1.0 (Version:1.0.3705.6018), which it's not compatible with. Please install either the 1.1 or 2.0 version of the framework.
