Hi,

Can anyone please tell me if it is possible to install/host DoTNetNuke without granting the database dbo execute permissions to the database?

Never tried but I would expect you would not be able to run this way..what are you trying to do limit access to DB from end user?

The actual web hosting company will not grant the dbo execute permissions as it a shared hosting package that I have (but they have told me there are ways round this), I installed DNN on my own computer and then generated scripts from the database then installed the scripts onto the webhosts sql server database, but when I ran DNN I find the DNN starts re-installing and tried to upgrade the database where I get the execute permissions denied error. Is there a way I can prevent the upgrade.
