Images on Default Home Page Appear as Red X10/13/2005 1:22:59 PM

0

I followed the instructions in the setup guide and the dnn home page loads, but all the images on default home page appear as a red X.

I checked url path in the properties of the images on the page and they appear correct.  Also, the images do exist in Portals/0/ folder.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

(I'm running IIS on Windows 2003 Server)

I met this problem before, and at the same time, there is no default module installed as well, even you can see them in the correct folder.

Wipe out everything, reinstalled it, and it works fine.

I think there was something went wrong during the installation.

I figured it out.  It was a permission problem.

Normally I copy and paste the DNN folder to the C: drive.  This time I moved it to the C: drive.  When you move the folder to the C: it does not inherit permission of the parent folder by default like it does when you copy and paste the folder.  The Users group did not have access to the folder, so no images loaded.

One I checked the "inherit permissions" and allpyed it to all subfolders, it worked fine.
