Host is offering to install dotnetnuke if I do the homework...8/3/2005 9:54:51 AM

My host is offering to install the required components of dotnetnuke for me if I can find out what he needs (it's not a service they normally offer and would be doing me a favour).

My current hostng package has asp.net 1.1 and sql server 2000.

Is it just a case of installing dotnetnuke as if I was installing it on my local machine?

Well, sort of.  :)

The main issue always ends up being the alias.  If they install it as localhost, until; the alias is added for your domain, DNN doesn't respond correctly.  If they install it by running the install from http://{yourdomain}/ then the alias is fine.
