Hi,

ThanX,  but it didn't solve my problem. Actualy when the database lies on the same machine the Portal is running very well

the problem occuring only when the site is trying to access remote database server.

So I solved the problem by making database server and the DNN installation on the same machine.

Now I got a new situation to be solved in DNN Repository module

How can I restrict some files to particular groupd of users to view/download?

Do any one have idea> please help me

Here am giving technical details about actual problem

Here is what we want:

1.    There are two sections: project specific docs and company docs.

2.    Only people in the project are allowed to add to the project docs.

3.    Anybody in the company can add company docs.

4.    Anybody in the company can read company docs. They can even add comments/update them/version them and so on.

5.    Anybody in the project can do likewise for the project docs.

Any solutions.....?

very urgent, I need to find solution by coming monday , please give a hand who has some ideas about

ThanX & Regards,

          Jaya

Hi!,

Did you update the key "SiteSqlServer" in the web.config file?

Hi chin,

Yes I updated SiteSqlServer key in web.config file

my siteSqlServer string is

<add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Server=IP;Database=DotNetNuke;uid=dotnetnuke;pwd=dotnetnuke;" />

Here IP is the IP address of machine on which the actual database for our network lies.

ThanX,

       Jaya
