Can somebody tell me, if I'm running DotNetNuke on windows server 2003 with a domain controller, and the domain is called for example "test", can i create portals with different subdomains. For example, can i create a portal and then put an alias for it (sunportal.test) and then be able to access it from the internet by etnering http://sunportal.test.?

To do so, you'll have to add an entry to DNS pointing to the name if it doesn't already exist.

thanx for the info, I figured that automatic dns creation is not done in DotNetNuke...

but do you know some automatic way to create a dns entry from an asp application (running adminsitrator scripts does not work cause they are run in the context of the aspnet account which does not have priviliges to execute them and if I try to impersonate the whole web application then this will present a serious security risk),
