Something we are in dire need for is a large file upload capability with progress bar preferably.

I am amazed that this has not been done yet. I would buy one if I could find a reasonably priced one. ABC upload is very expensive beyond a single domain (they do have a free version if you post credits but that is a pain and not possible in every situation).

Is anyone working on this?

I have got my code working for this large-file uploader-thing with progress-bar thing, working with multiple files. I still need to add Mac support, as Apple always likes to be different (and expensive).

Who knows where I can get a decent Mac for testing, under $1000? They are so expesive unless you buy 5-year old model. Me confused.


I HATE Mac's, BTW.

wanna share what you have? I have macs at my office to help test with... :)

is it a module or built in to the dnn interface?

also is it totally in memory as the .net out of the box upload or are you streaming it to disk?

I'm streaming to disk, so not totally in memory (don't think that would be good).
It's currently a control with HTTPModule, with some pages to use for uploading and progress indicator. Currently all done in C#, although I will probably clone the sample pages in VB. The control and handler will stay as C#.

I really need a Mac here to test as I code. All I know is Mac Files will not work, but I'm not sure exactly how the come accross differently during an upload.

I will be purchasing a Mac in next week or so, and don't imagine finializing the code to take to long from there.
