If you are logged in and go to a page like News_List.aspx the LoginBanner shows "Welcome user . You are logged in". If you then log out, the welcome message does not get cleared.

I thought that was the case too.  However, when you click the log out it will postback the same page instead of redirecting to the home page or a session end page.  There are quite a few errors with the clubsite. Althought it is really nice looking, the it was pretty thrown together.  I just started playing with it a day ago and have found enough errors that i decided to scrap and build my own.
