 My is understanding is that the two databases that are present in the classified kit - aspnetdb.mdf and classifieddb.mdf - are sql server 2005 express version based. I have been told that most hosters do not support the express version

 Also, I am told that I need to combine these two into one datebase for a hoster to support the classified site.

I need to know how to this. Please explain it to me in a "Dummies for ..... format". I will probably be able to understand that.

Hi Zimmer,

Yes you can easily combine the two databases. The classifieds starterkit download has the sql script for creating the Classifieddb.mdf.

What you can do is, run this script against aspnetdb.mdf and create the required tables, stored procs, views etc on the aspnetdb.mdf. Then you can generate a full sql script for generating this database.

Using this generated script, you can even create the database on a SQL Server 2000. Then deploy the classifieds starter kit and change the web.config file to point to the newly created combimed database. You should be able to move forward from this point. Let me know if you hit any brick walls.

Hi Sampath D.

First I ran  two files classifieds-add.sql and classifieds-categories.sql to SQLvietprovidercom

 and I generate the script on C:\WEBSITE\CLASSIFIED\APP_DATA\ASPNETDB.MDF and EXE to SQLvietprovidercom

I combined two databases to one database but when I click on the login link on the page and I got the error below
