Attaching the Classifieds database to SQL 20001/27/2007 4:20:23 AM

I am trying to set-up and host the classifieds starter kit on windows 2003 server with sql 2000. Does any one have a tutorial thats walks you through the set-up? I am not sure what I'm doing wrong but I can't attach the database through SQL manager. I get a 602 error! Is it not possible to use the sql .mdf files with windows sql 2000?

Ok I figured it out. My site is up and running now and I'm happy. Now I only need to lock it down!

Hi,

Can u pls give me db script for the database and table creation on sql 2000 .

I have not sql server 2005 or sql express.

 if u send me the sql .ldf or mdf. files or db file on my id it will be great for me ...

You can use the classifieds-add.sql script, which found in the bin folder of the Classifieds Starter Kit, to create all of the tables, views, and stored procedures that you'll need.  I know this script works on SQL Server 2000, since I've used it myself.  There is also a classifieds-categories.sql script that will add all of the default categories to the database for you.

Correction:  the classifeds-add.sql and classifieds-categories.sql scripts are in the App_Data directory of the starter kit.
