IE7 Beta 3 and Menu hidden

    Interestingly, in IE7 Beta 3, the menu popups are appearing underneath the other items in a nearby DIV.

   I've tried:
   * Modifying every CSS attribute of surrounding items and to the menu to ensure it isn't my fault.
   * the CSSAdapters and the problem remains.
   * The sugegstion by Russell to create another browser specific file for IE7 (removing the floats)
and I still have the problem.

   It works fine on Opera, Safari, FF, and IE6. So hmmm. Any ideas anyone?

It looks like a simple z-index issue, but it seems to be something else...

Ok so I've resolved the issue.

Strangely enough it was because the side bar that the menu was in was set to a specific width and the container floating next to it was set with a margin-left of the same width. Thus IE7b3 decided to render the floating container OVER the dynamic menu items.

I was told by a local css expert that you should be sure to include the DOCTYPE in your file and also take care to ensure your z-index is set appropriately. These fixes took care of some issues I had when going to IE7 but didn't have with other browsers.
