Problem in publishing - publish results in empty folder8/23/2007 8:46:27 PM

0/0

Hello everyone,

I have a problem in publishing my web site.

It was publishing fine till this morning, when it started showing problems. When I go to "Publish web site" in VS2005, it builds and says "publish suceeded", but what I actually have is an empty folder where my files should be. It creates the folder but doesn't copy the files.

Since we are a big team working all in the same solution, I suppose someone accidentally changed something that may be causing it, but nobody knows anything about it. The problem now is in every machine for this solution.

Would anyone know what I should change to correctly publish this web site?

thanks

Try running aspnet_compiler.exe manually with the -errorstack flag to see there is any additional information.

There is a bug with aspnet_compiler not reporting mismatched tags, and the workaround is to use -errorstack:
