 After a quick search of the forum, I have been unable to ascertain a similar question being asked, so if I may:

My Company has just given my team five new latops all installed with Visual Studio 2005. Alas the servers used throughout the business are only running .net framework v1.1.4322 and are unwilling to upgrade at this moment in time. My questions are: there any difficulties in delivering .net framework 1.1 related developments using visual studio 2005? I am lead to believe that the guys only have the 2.0 framework installed on the lapops. Can the two versions co-exist on the same machine? Would there be any in gettin gthe older version of the framework installed? will it affect visual studio 2005 in any way? Is there any way that the developers can switch between versions of the frmaework when developing?

The two versions can coexist fine, you just need to install them.  VS2005 works with the 1.1 framework, but many of the controls are 2.0 controls so watch what you're using.

Visual Studio 2005 targets the 2.0 framework. Visual Studio 2003 targets the 1.1 framework. Both the frameworks and Visual Studio can be installed side by side, and they will not interfer with each other. If you want to develop apps for v1.1 of the framework, you will need to use Visual Studio 2003.
