Hi there,

I have now tried to debug from my Windows XP/SP2 client, to a Windows 2003 server, running the Remote Debuggin Monitor.

This does not work at all, and I keep getting this annoying error message: "Unable to start debugging on the web server. The Microsoft Visual Studio Remote Debugging Monitor (MSVSMON.EXE) does not appear to be running on the remote computer.".

I have searched the Internet thin, but unable to find a suitable solution.

However, if choose the option "Attach to process...", and then set the qualifier to DOMAIN\UserName@ServerName, then it works perfectly fine.

So, my conclusion here is, that the remote debugging is working fine when used manually - it fails when its used automaticaly.

Any help would be much appreciated :)

Hi,

I tried attaching the process as you suggested domain\username@servername. However, I'm getting some kind of permission error, here it is:

"Unable to connect to Microsoft Visual Studio Remote Debugging Monitor named 'servername'. The Microsoft Visual Studio Remote Debugging Monitor on the remote computer does not have permission to connect to this computer. "

The server and my computer both are on the same domain.

p.s. I am using Visual Studio 2005.
