Hi, VS.NET 2005 provides design-time validation against DTD, or an XSD Schema. This means that if a mistake is made, you will see VS.NET 2005 underline (in red or blue) the mistake as you type it!

 I have XML file opened in VS.NET 2005 and now I want to validate it against XSD file. Please tell me steps how to do that?

Once your XML file is open, look in the Properties window (usually the right hand side of your screen) and find the property 'Schemas'.

 If you click on the 'selector' icon under this property, you can select an XSD file to associate with this XML file. VS.NET 2005 should automatically validate your XML file now.
