Hi,

This might be a stupid set of questions... But I'll ask them anyway -
What IS a trackback?
And how does .Text on my blog start counting them? (Or what would someone have to do to make my blog "register" a trackback?)
What triggers it?
How does my posting an entry (on my blog) which links to someone else's blog, make their blog show that I've linked to them?

PS: before anyone says "just google it", I tried a few google searches, and the most popular result was linking to MT's site where they tell you how to link to a trackback... and I couldn't find any sites that could answer my questions...

I've never really completely understood trackbacks myself. I'd love to hear a good, detailed explanation.
