Hi all, i am confused by seeing an extension .cms in the foloowing URL,

http://navbharattimes.indiatimes.com/articlelist/2279808.cms

Navbharat times is a Hindi Newspaper, i have seen .cms extension in their webpages, what is that???? Please tell me wht is this and how to develop this type of pages.????

Hi,

you can find information about the .csm extension here: http://filext.com/file-extension/CMS. Also it could be that another technology's behind it. You could for example create a web application with ASP.NET and have the extensions .php instead of .aspx for example (actually codeproject.com did this one for an aprils fool day joke).

 Hi,

I think this is a technique to make peoples confuse, or as you say April fools... :D

Caz I made a file with html code and saved it as .cms and then opened that file in IE and firefox, IT WORKS.
