Globalization on the Web.Config7/21/2005 4:40:54 PM

Hi there,

I'm trying to install Dnn 3.1 on a web hoster company. I was reading the Installation Manual and nothing is said about the globalization.

This is from Web.Config:

<globalization culture="en-US" uiCulture="en" requestEncoding="UTF-8" responseEncoding="UTF-8"
            fileEncoding="UTF-8" />

The portal is in Portuguese so I suppose I should change this to:

<globalization culture="pt-PT" uiCulture="pt" requestEncoding="UTF-8" responseEncoding="UTF-8"
            fileEncoding="UTF-8" />

before installing it.

Correct?

I hope someone from the core team will reply here, but I suspect that changing the culture or uiculture in web.config to portuguese will NOT help you.  As I understand things, you need to:

a.  login as host,

b.  choose Languages,

c. add pt-PT language.

d.  set site default language to pt-PT

e.  change admin and host preferred language to pt-PT.

You can then return to Languages tab and add or upload a portuguese language pack.
